App crashes when running with F5 (debug)

milop
I have an app called Tutorial1. When I run it (I am running on an actual device) without debugging it works fine. When I try to run it with debugging I get the following error (Note: I was able to debug the app all day and then this started happening):

What if you make some changes in your app and make sure to rebuild it
for debugging?

The debug log says your deployment target somehow misses platform API-9
support package, which might happen after certain sequence of build,
debug and runs without debugging. Making sure to have it installed would
be the solution.

I'm not sure if my way works, just a possibility; I experienced
something similar.

Are you trying to build, without recompilation, a project from Preview 13 (or earlier)? Preview 14 dropped support for API level 9, replacing it with API level 10 (primarily because I couldn't even download API level 9 from Google anymore; API level 10 is Android 2.3.3):

        http://mono-android.net/Releases/Previews/Preview_14#API_Changes

Make sure that your API level (in Project Options somewhere) is API level 10, rebuild your project, and then try debugging.

Hi, Atsushi. Thanks for the response.

The configuration was changed from Debug to Release.

Visual Studio, for some reason, sometimes resets its options. It's happened on a few occasions. I don't know why it happens.

Thanks again,

Mike

Hi, John. Thanks for the response.

The configuration was changed from Debug to Release.

Visual Studio, for some reason, sometimes resets its options. It's happened on a few occasions. I don't know why it happens.

I set it back to Debug and am now able to debug.

Thanks again,

Mike
