This sounds like it probably had a good use case for you on your machine, but to other people it just seems like a nightmare. I've made plenty of programs like that. I just file it under `~/scripts`, use it all the time, but never speak about it. :) To explain myself a bit more, when I use FTP I already know exactly what I am looking for. Downloading anything else just seems like a waste of space and time. Plus there's a slight chance that you could accidently get something malicious or possibly even illegal. I'm not trying to rain on your parade. Maybe someone will get a kick out of it. Like I said, I have all kinds of stuff that seems super useful to me but no one else would ever use. I'm not even going to tell you what I've been working on at home.
